    Job vacancy - Service Engineer

    This is a full time Service Engineer role based in the North West – PPS Leigh.

    Responsibilities:

    A service engineer performs maintenance and operational tasks on compressed air equipment, inclusive of all types of air compressors, refrigerated dryers and ancillary equipment extending in to commercial HVAC VRF / VRV AC systems as the business expands.

    Carry out work in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner, and in accordance with Pennine Pneumatic Services policies, practices and standards.

    Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports and other required documents as required.

    Proper use of PPE, vehicles, tools and equipment is required.

    • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair, and overhaul various types of compressors/refrigerated dryers and ancillary equipment following manufacturer’s instructions and/or company polices.
    • Must have a full understanding of compressors and refrigerated dryers.
    • Must be able to read, interpret and understand manufacturers’ equipment manuals and drawings.
    • Responsible for reporting daily updates of workload, additional work required, submitting accurate maintenance reports and ongoing events to the service team.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple compressor systems.
    • Demonstrates a knowledge of compressor technologies and comprehensive mechanical, and diagnostic skills.
    • Advantageous knowledge of energy saving systems
    • Knowledge of control systems
    • Dedicated to customer service, and maintains professional working relationships with customers and co-workers.
    • Liaise with customers on all levels.
    • Assist with on call back up support on a rota basis,
    • Follows all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures in accordance with Pennine Pneumatic Services and our customer’s policies.
    • A full and clean driving license is required

Our company is one of Yorkshire’s largest compressed air service and equipment providers. Due to growth of both our compressed air and newly launched HVAC channel we are looking to add key engineers to the team. Our service engineers all have extensive and advanced knowledge on servicing HVAC systems from the top air conditioning manufacturers and our Senior Service Engineers are highly skilled at advanced fault finding and fixing.

    The Package

    Salary dependant on experience of applicant, in addition we operate a company incentive scheme. A service vehicle, laptop and phone will be provided along with a competitive pension scheme.
