Background:
Matt has been in the world of chillers and HVAC since 1995 going straight from college to a Service Engineer role. After spending 9 years as a Service Engineer he became Service Supervisor for York International. From there he has continued in management roles for key industry brands across the North of England and the UK. His experience includes time with Toshiba Carrier UK Ltd, York International, Trane, Johnson Controls, Lennox and Armstrong Fluid Technology.
Role:
At PPS Matt is helping to ensure we offer our customers a complete solution for their needs. The vast majority of manufacturers using compressed air will also have chillers and HVAC systems on site. Matt helps our customers with technical support, service, energy management, hire equipment and stock purchases.
Matt’s expertise adds to our promise of being much more than just a compressed air specialist and works with our one supplier, one solution approach. Working with industry leading brands such as Parker, Carrier, York, Lennox & Trane, Matt is able to perfectly match the customers needs with the right chiller or HVAC system.
What does a compressed air firm know about HVAC and Chillers?
More than you may initially think! Air compressor technology is actually very similar to chiller technology, our engineers are already FGas certified and are manufactured trained as standard, plus we have a long-standing working relationship with Parker.
Additionally, as a company PPS have many years’ experience working with dryers and so we are used to dealing with the regulations around FGAS & refrigerant applications.

Achieving customer satisfaction when every enquiry or project is different.
“To be successful I need to call on experience while remaining open to new products and industry practices that are available.
“By working closely with our customers, learning about their business and immediate needs, it allows me to deliver a solution which can improve reliability, efficiency and solve potential equipment issues before they even occur. This may be in the form of a bespoke service plan to meet a client’s budget, providing a competitive repair or responding to an unplanned event.
“I feel it is important to explore the facts and gather key information while looking for both value and best fit for a customer – essentially a tailor-made offering.”
When not at work you’ll find him:
Matt can usually be found tackling multiple DIY projects, renovating an old property keeps him very busy outside of normal work routines.
He is an active cyclist, mainly for social enjoyment with the occasional charity ride. You might also find him riding his custom 1600cc motorbike to rallies and enthusiast gatherings on the occasional sunny weekend, but only when he has permission from the boss!
