PPS and R&G help Team England dancers stretch for success at the Dance World Cup

Shine Theatre Arts, based under five miles from the PPS Brighouse head office, are travelling to San Sebastian this summer to represent England in the 2022 Dance World Cup Finals.

Each year, Dance World Cup sees representatives from over 62 countries, and over 120,000 dancers from across the world entering to represent their country in the finals. With each country only having four places available per age group and genre, qualifying for the finals is a big achievement.

The local dance school have qualified with an impressive 13 dances, and are taking over 20 of their dancers, ages 13-17.

Last year, two of the young dancers represented England in the finals and brought back three gold and two silver medals – an incredible achievement for the local dance school and amazing dancers!

This opportunity brings many costs for Shine, including flights, accomodation, entry fees, costumes and more, so fundraising and sponsorship plays a big part in their journey to the finals.

At PPS we’re committed to supporting our local community, something which is backed by the wider R&G Fluid Power Group.

“It’s brilliant to see how much young talent is on our doorstep and recognise the tremendous efforts of Shine Theatre Arts. The determination and drive of the young dancers is inspiring to see,” says Ian Harrison, PPS Managing Director. “PPS and R&G are proud to be sponsoring and wish them all the best in the finals at the end of June.”
