The Kickstart Scheme introduces Sam to PPS

At PPS we are passionate about supporting young people, and offering opportunities to help provide sustainable employment for the younger generation.

We were recently made aware of the Kickstart incentive through their relationship with the Employment Services Team at Halifax Opportunities Trust, who are a Gateway for the scheme. The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new jobs for 16- to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

After partnering with Kickstart, we were able to offer Sam his first job opportunity, with the potential of a long-term career within PPS. Sam has recently started working in our pipework and installations department and continues to receive excellent employability support, enabling him to be successful in his new role. This support is provided by Halifax Opportunities Trust in partnership with the PPS team.
