Name: Andy Westwood
Job Title: Aftermarket Sales Engineer
Background:Andy’s journey in the compressed air industry began in 1990, and he has never looked back since. His first job as a workshop engineer, for another Atlas Copco distributor began in the very same building the PPS Head Office is in now. Andy soon after stepped into a role as a service engineer, that saw him visiting customer sites, and maintaining all brands of compressed air equipment.
The company was then taken over by another compressor manufacturer, and Andy progressed to a technical support role. He began travelling round the country, troubleshooting problems and supporting the distributor network. Andy then became the Service Manager, looking after a team of 10, ensuring customers production remains efficient, and downtime is minimised.
The company then relocated their base and saw PPS move into the premises in 2017, as Andy began in the aftermarket sales and service department, completing nearly 30 years in the company.
Following this, Andy worked as a multi-skilled technician at a large supermarket brand, before joining the PPS team in 2022.
It’s great to welcome Andy to our aftermarket sales department, and see him return to the building where his compressed air journey started.
“My role includes looking at our servicing agreements with customers, and ensuring they have the best solution for their site. I work with both existing and new customers across all five branches, promoting our packages and helping to give them peace of mind.
“I work very closely with the service team and manager, supporting them with technical experience and helping to keep customers running efficiently.”

“It’s important to me to help customers reduce their downtime, and optimise energy savings and costs through energy efficient products and installation.”
“I enjoy football, a lot more watching rather than playing these days as I’m getting a bit old! I also love live music, and always enjoy going to a rock concert.
“I’m often travelling to different parts of the UK, and enjoying weekends at home gardening. And just generally getting on my wife’s nerves!”
